Our staff includes experienced researchers who are available to conduct archeological literature and historic map research for project areas throughout New York.
The standard search includes a review of site file listings at the New York State Museum and the New York Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, previous surveys, National Register Listed and eligible properties, building inventory forms, and historic maps.
The research is conducted on a time and materials basis. The amount of time required to complete the research varies depending on the size of the search area, the types of documents requested, and the amount of previous archeological work conducted in the region.
Once completed, the results of the research including copies of archeological surveys, site file and building inventory forms, and maps are mailed to the client.
To initiate research, please return a completed request form to us by email or by fax at (518) 283-6276.
