If an archeological site is identified during the Phase I study or if there is a known archeological site within your project area, a Phase II archeological site evaluation may be required. The primary goals of the Phase II are to obtain detailed information on the integrity, limits, structure, function, and cultural/historical context of the archaeological site sufficient to evaluate its potential National Register eligibility.
If a site is determined to be National Register eligible following the Phase II, a Phase III archeological data recovery may be required if avoidance of the site is not feasible.
To request a proposal for Phase II services, please contact us. If the Phase I investigation was completed by another group, please provide us with copies of all reports and correspondence from the State Historic Preservation Office.
